The Apex DC HD is the evolution of the 5-inch freestyle frame, engineered specifically to solve the biggest problem in FPV: keeping props out of your HD video feed without ruining the flight performance.
The “Dead Cat” Geometry — Fixed.
Traditional “Dead Cat” frames achieve a prop-free view by moving the rear motors closer to the body. While this clears the camera view, it severely impacts the drone’s center of gravity and handling. The Apex DC changes the game.
By modifying the upper and lower main plates and utilizing a specific combination of arm lengths, the Apex DC keeps the front and rear motors perfectly aligned. You get the prop-free HD footage you want, with the aggressive, locked-in flight characteristics of a standard Compressed-X race frame.
Electrical Safety & Isolation
The Caddx Vista and DJI Air Unit systems utilize a grounded metal body. In a standard carbon fiber frame, this creates a risk of hazardous ground loops and short circuits. The Apex DC HD kit includes newly designed 3D-printed insulation inserts. These custom inserts firmly lock your camera in place while keeping the video system electrically isolated from the frame.

Freestyle pilots know that crashes are inevitable. This frame is constructed with high-quality carbon fiber, featuring ultra-thick 5.5mm arms and a reinforced center section to withstand high-impact flying.
